From Promised to Predictive

 How corporate visions leveraged Skillcraft’s Precision Skill Analytics to refine Interventions

  • One of Corporate Visions top clients was looking to identify areas to bolster their Win Rates. They were long time proponents of the CVI training model, and looking to leverage training support in enabling a measurable performance improvement in Win Rates, but did not know where to begin. 

 

  • Through our partnership with CVI, Skillcraft was able to offer this client a precise diagnostic of performance across the Great 8 in this client’s primary geography, and the results were crucial. Our assessment identified that three of their skill areas were associated with an aggregate 50%+ stronger likelihood of wins.

In determining where to invest training, previously, a client partner would have few and limited options to determine prioritization: 
 

  1. Self-Assessments

  2. Manager feedback 

  3. Leadership intuition 

 

But what the client really wanted was a data-driven approach to know where they should direct training dollars in ways that counted. Self and manager assessments are known to fall into biases, and leadership intuition suffers from being too high-level, often disconnected from individuals' needs. 

 

Through our partnership with Corporate Visions, we were able to deliver a precision skills assessment that leveraged predictive insights to calibrate what training to apply to whom.

How it Worked:

  1. Psychometrically calibrated assessment results identify specific individual skill gaps across Corporate Visions Great 8 competency model.
     

  2. Results were then also related to previous Win Rates in order to identify skills that were more predictive than others for this KPI.
     

  3. Final training recommendation paths were designed through a weighting of (1) who needs what, and (2) the skills that were most predictive of Win Rates to develop a truly comprehensive intervention.
